Using the Control Panel of BOPIS by RANDEMRETAIL

How to use the Control Panel in BOPIS by RANDEMRETAIL

The Control Panel is a key part of the BOPIS usage and flow. This is where your in-store staff will see orders placed via BOPIS into their specific store. It is also where they can manage the orders and mark them ready for the customer.

The Control Panel is a seperate webpage to the BigCommerce application, this means that you have seperate User access control over who can log into the Control Panel vs who can log into BigCommerce, you don't have to give your in-store staff access to the full BigCommerce account to manage the BOPIS orders.

STEP 1: Log into the Control Panel

The Control Panel is simple to navigate through after the Initial setup of BOPIS is done. The steps to find the Control Panel are straight forward:

  1. Navigate into the BOPIS app

  2. In the menu click "Control Panel", this will open a new tab/window with the Control Panel login screen

  3. Log in using the User Account created under the User Management step of the setup

  4. You will be in the Control Panel of that Users assigned store

Now you will be in the Control Panel dashboard. The URL that opened when you clicked the Control Panel button is unique to your BOPIS setup, this is the URL that you should share with your staff members so they can log-in to view the orders. (A common usage we see is for a single device in the store to be used and logged in with a shared email. E.g. an iPad at the counter)

A final piece that the User can do, if they are applied access across multiple stores they will be able to choose from a dropdown in the top right which store they would like to see orders from.

STEP 2: Move Orders

Here in the Control Panel is where you will be moving orders through their stages of the BOPIS journey. The stages are: Order ready to be picked, Order awaiting Pickup and Order Completed. Each stage is very simple to move through and very intuitive. To work through an order flow here are the steps:

  1. In the row of the order click "Pick Order" - this will take you into a screen listing all the products in the order

  2. As your staff members picks each item they should click "Item Picked" next to that item

  3. Once all Items have been picked the staff member can click the "Complete Pick" button - this will move the order to "Awaiting Pickup"

  4. When the customer arrives in store to pickup their order the staff member will need to find their order in the "Awaiting Pickup" section

  5. They can then click "Picked Up" under Action next to that order - this will complete the order and move it to completed.

As each of these steps triggers it also sends the appropriate email to the customer.
