With 35 stores across Southern Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Kansas, and Oklahoma, Big R operates one of the region's largest agricultural and lifestyle retail networks — selling apparel, footwear, hardware, garden supplies, and more.

The Challenge: Fulfilling online orders across 35 stores without losing efficiency

Despite its extensive retail network, BigR faced challenges in keeping up with online orders and seamless fulfilment while maintaining excellent customer service and the company sought to enhance customer service efficiency. This meant:

The Solution: Phased OMS rollout with same-day delivery, BOPIS, and ship-from-store

RANDEMRETAIL deployed its omnichannel order management platform for Big R in a structured, phased rollout designed to minimise operational disruption while maximising adoption speed.

Phase 1: BOPIS and ship-from-store activation

Big R began with buy online, pick up in store (BOPIS) and ship-from-store capabilities. Store staff were equipped with barcode-enabled fulfilment workflows — dramatically improving pick accuracy and throughput.

Phase 2: Same-day delivery via Uber

RANDEMRETAIL enabled same-day delivery through Uber's last-mile delivery network, giving Big R customers a fast, local fulfilment option previously unavailable to the brand.

Phase 3: ERP integration and Google Local Inventory Ads

Real-time inventory synchronisation was achieved through a direct integration with Big R's Eagle Cor ERP system, managed by RANDEMRETAIL's integration partner IM Digital. This ensured stock levels across all 35 locations were accurate and up-to-date.

Big R also became one of the first RANDEMRETAIL clients to deploy the Google Local Inventory Ads Feed — a feature that pushes real-time store inventory and shipping options into Google Shopping, improving local search visibility and customer discovery.
